The Dundee showings are underlain by Permian and older Stikine Assemblage mafic to felsic volcanics and limestone, cut by Mesozoic intrusive rock.

Sample No. 92261 was taken in 1990 from a 30 centimetre wide rock chip sample of a limonite-malachite stained pyrite-chalcopyrite skarn outcrop approximately 8 by 10 metres in area. The sample assayed 3.6 grams per tonne gold, 10.8 per cent copper and less than 50 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 20625).

Refer to Fieldwork 1990, p.246 for an in depth discussion of the Dundee (GLA) where a discussion of 4 major skarn showings at the Dundee are discussed. A summary from the article follows:

To summarize, the Dundee (GLA) skarns include garnet. epidote, quartz, potassium feldspar, carbonate with rare pyroxenes and wolastonite. Mineralization comprises massive 2nd veined magnetite with variable amounts of pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and gold. The westernmost skarn is characterized by semimassive lenses of pyrrhotite. Most of the Dundee skerns are garnet-rich exoskarns that replace limestone: they differ from many other skarns in the district in being locally pyrrhotite-rich.

In 1990, a total of 166 reconnaissance rock chip samples, 82 chip-channel samples and 144 contour chip samples were collected on the GLA 1-5, Ron 3-8 and Nor 1-2 claims of Kestrel Resources Ltd.

In 1991, the Ron 3-8, Nor 1-2 and Sno 1 and 2 claims were under option to Blue Gold Resources Ltd from owner Kestrel. Blue Gold spent 3 days on the group doing mapping and prospecting. Seventeen rock samples in total were collected from the Ron 3-6 claims. Seven rock samples were collected on the Nor 1-2 claims. Six rock samples were collected from the Sno claims.

In 1989, Blue Gold Resources Ltd collected a total of 13 rock chip, 8 heavy mineral and 108 soil samples on the Gold 17-20. In 1990 Blue Gold collected 108 soil samples. Some apparent overstaking of GLA claims appears to have led to sampling on these tenures.
